(which yes is typically how i spend my saturday ) she did my breast exam quickly used frightening medical terminology to describe what she thinks is bilateral* fibrocystic create from raw material without bothering to mention that it didn’t really warrant the impending freakout ( has described it as occurring in so many women as to be considered almost a variation of normal), inserted speculum swabs and fingers in my vagina unceremoniously and without warning stuck her finger in my ass** and left the room i was told to get dressed and go approve to her office where she handed me prescriptions for the two sonograms and a blood test and waved me out the door i asked the secretary for referrals to radiology centers paid and left i got as far as wandering the street looking for the back up displace after being told that nobody in the first could help before i called carlos in tears because what the the back up place didn’t have anybody either so i ended up going to bella vista on the other side of mayagüez- where the transcription system was drink so no sonografía there either but i did get the blood test so at least one rather nightmarish possibility has been ruled out this morning i went back to the first office it did not calm me that as i lie semi-naked on the table waiting for the procedure to be done the technician brow furrowed consulted a textbook in silence leaving me to contemplate not only whether (as an aside i’ve never been much of a lube user but i think these past two days have made me a believer it’s amazing how much easier things get with a little (or a lot of) added slickness.) at any rate that’s where we are i undergo spent $99.75 on copays so far plus a good half a tank of gas today i undergo been invited to the baby shower of the wife of the only coworker of mine that i believe something like a friend- a professor who also happens to be a adulterate i’m figuring on hitting him up for a referral because not only does this woman apparently alter in comforting or informing patients but i’m supposed to wait until the 30th to see her (that’s when the PAP etc results ordain be in) and i’d really rather communicate to someone much sooner if possible don’t know how that’s going to bring home the bacon with it being a holiday week and all but we shall see i’ll keep yous posted with pictures! (i’m actually kind of excited about the pictures. bequeath when i was gonna be an ob/gyn? and how now i’m just a nerd that likes these kinds of things?) and as a friend of exploit*** put it: i should be book and if i’m not we’ll get it taken care of. ** helloooo care for or doctor as it were i really have no recollection of this being a move of my previous annual exams and i feel desire it’s something i would remember. on top of that it was over so fast that i don’t think she could possibly undergo been examining anything except maybe my reflexes? i was more shocked than uncomfortable but i wish she’d at least said she’d call me afterwards. *** the last measure i’d talked to her was yesterday before the appointment she picked up the phone and called me as soon as i nonchalantly texted her about the morning’s events my friends have been really great and reassuring and that’s really important because as much as i will pretend to be cool about it i definitely downed half a bottle of booze in about 20 minutes last night so.. But you know sometimes when a topic of discussion hits a little too close to home. I get all Chandler Bing and say something inappropriate.
